Little Elm Park
Little Elm Park is situated on Lake Lewisville in Little Elm and provides a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities such as swimming, sunbathing, picnicking, boating, fishing, hiking, biking, and camping.
Hiking trails wind through the woods, with occasional views of the lake, and are suitable for strolling, jogging, and biking. Fishing is permitted, so bringing a fishing rod is another good way to pass the time. There are also designated camping areas where you can pitch a tent.
The Cove at The Lakefront
The Cove at the Lakefront, one of DFW’s newest water parks, opened on March 14. It is open all year and provides water fun for all ages, with everything from a zero-depth splash ground to high-adrenaline water slides. According to Chad Hyde, Director of Community Services for Little Elm, this is the town’s largest single project.
Visitors can take a relaxing float down the lazy river or a thrilling ride down one of the three water slides. One of the waterslides has built-in computer screens that display short animations as you slide down the slide. The custom play structure includes interactive water activities for children of all ages.
Johnny Broyle’s Nature Trail
The Johnny Broyles Trail can be found at the northern end of Little Elm Park. The hike and bike trail has a 10′ wide concrete path for just under a mile and a quarter mile of crushed granite. It has a lake and is suitable for all skill levels. The trail is open all year and is popular for hiking, walking, running, and bird watching. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
While the park and its beach are free to use, there are numerous other activities available. There is a large playground with benches available for your children. You can also play volleyball near the beach, as there are 8 sand volleyball courts available. Volleyball is, in fact, one of the most popular activities here. If you own a boat, you may want to bring it with you, as boating is permitted here. A plethora of activities await you here, ready to round out your holiday season.
Little Elm Beach
Lakefront at Little Elm is a family-friendly entertainment district on the shores of Lake Lewisville located in the heart of Little Elm, Texas. It’s the ideal place to escape during the hot Texas summers, with a pristine sandy beach and easy access to the lake. But it’s also a year-round destination with great restaurants and family-friendly activities.
Little Elm Beach is the best sandy beach in North Texas. Ten beach volleyball courts overlook the lake, and the beach has one of the largest open swim areas in North Texas, with DFW Surf nearby for kayak, paddleboard, and bike rentals.
Doe Branch Park
Nice quiet spot in the back of Paloma Creek neighborhood. Free parking. Nice paddle from here over to Little Elm beach. Free parking and few paths to hike. Small beachy area to launch from if you don’t want to use the concrete boat ramp.
Hydrous Wake Park
Hydrous Water Park is a one-of-a-kind water park. This entertaining attraction on the shores of Lake Lewisville provides aquatic adventures in an unusual way. Wakeboarding typically necessitates the creation of waves in the water, typically by a boat pulling a wakeboarder behind it.
Hydrous Wake Park, on the other hand, has a one-of-a-kind system that pulls wakeboarders via a cable attached to a long arm high above the water. Aside from wakeboarding, this park offers a variety of other enjoyable aquatic activities as well as a taproom for refreshments.
Beard Park is located in Little Elm, Texas, on the shores of Lake Lewisville, and is easily accessible via Eldorado Parkway. Beard Park’s newly restored amenities range from modern restrooms to a nostalgic area with the famed log cabin.
The Little Elm Memorial Park theme connects the past and present, giving residents a place to reconnect with their childhood memories. If you enjoy hiking or taking long walks, there are hiking trails in the park that connect to the Lakefront Trail, and these paths allow anyone to use a connected series of routes that could suit any active routine.
TX Ture Farm

TX-Ture Farm is a family-friendly adventure located just 10 minutes outside of Little Elm. The TX Ture Farm is home to friendly alpacas and llamas, beautiful lavender fields, a honeybee apiary, a Christmas tree farm, and numerous nature trails. The farm offers a “Alpaca Experience,” which allows guests to interact with the animals for 90 minutes, hand feeding them treats, walking them around the trails, and learning about the working farm and its processes. This enjoyable sensory experience is one of our favorite Little Elm attractions because it is suitable for people of all ages and can be enjoyed all year.
National Video Game Museum
If outdoor activities aren’t your thing, check out the National Video Game Museum, one of Little Elm’s more unusual attractions. This quirky museum is located in Frisco, TX, just a few miles outside of Little Elm. What began in 1999 as a mobile museum became a permanent location after a Kickstarter campaign helped fund its efforts. The museum features exhibits covering the entire history of video games and is an interactive experience that anyone can enjoy.
Little Elm Beach is ideal for a family vacation because it is located within Little Elm Park. Before going to the beach, you might want to spend some time exploring the area around the beach. Johnny Broyle’s Nature Trail, located just 400 meters from the beach, is a hiking area where you can enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings while taking an easy hike. Here, 30 minutes of hiking and wandering around is plenty. Then you can continue your journey to the main park and enjoy everything there. Swimming, athletic fields, hiking trails, a playground, and, of course, the stunning Little Elm Beach itself are all available at Little Elm Park.
